The Full Movement Control Order 3.0 (FMCO) from June 1 to 14, 2021 is extended to the 28th of June has a huge impact on most business, to say the least.
Only essential businesses are allowed to operate normally. Meaning close to 80% of all businesses has to temporarily close.
The Government sector is almost closed with 80% of the civil servants are require to work from home.
There were many road closures, roadblocks and police checkpoints at toll plazas, state borders, industrial areas and commercial areas in every city.
There was also an increase in police patrol in morning and night markets, watering holes, eateries and residential areas. Crowd control by auxiliary uniformed personnel is seen in places where there are queues and gatherings.
The roads are almost without traffic except for delivery vans and motorcycles, taxis and e-hailing vehicles and other logistics vehicles. There is a curfew after 8:00 pm.
I am free to roam everywhere I wish including the state border crossing. I hold travel papers from e-hailing companies, courier service, e-commerce and Covid-19 medical test kit supply company. All these are essential services during FMCO.
As a PWD, I carry a hospital appointment patient card with me all the time. This gives me the hospital in case of a medical emergency.
